Description
Fowl Bluegrass (Poa palustris) is a native, cool season grass, which is generally found in meadows, stream banks, and moist areas. The plant has a very good winter hardiness, it can be found throughout Canada, the US, Europe, and Asia. This shallow rooted bunchgrass is short to medium growing, and prefers good fertility levels.
Fowl Bluegrass can be used for lawns and landscaping in moist areas. This grass is often mixed with other grasses in reclamation projects. Additionally, this grass has a good forage value. It should be placed in pastures where soil moisture is sufficient.
